![]() As a matter of fact, One Bad Ant operates like a good story—through communication and creativity. We began writing the first chapter of the OBA story after 16 years of working for a large, impersonal bureaucracy. We envisioned using the internet to reach out to customers, to involve them in the organization, to create a dialogue, a partnership. But the organization worried about losing control. After fighting to create an open internet for customers, management decided to outsource the foundation we needed to a company whose reps were named Damian, Rex, and Attila (and we’re not making this up!). Well! How could we compete with an evil one, a king, and a rapacious pillager? If we had been waiting for “The Omen” that we were in the wrong place, this was it! We decided that there is a better way to do things, a more inclusive and personal approach to business that includes having fun. Afterall, having fun is a far better way to work with people, and it’s also good for mind, body, and soul. This philosophy materialized into OBA.
